Julie Moss finished second in the 1984 Ironman World Championship due to a dramatic collapse just before the finish line. She was leading the race but, exhausted and dehydrated, she fell just yards from the finish, allowing fellow competitor Kathleen McCartney to pass her and claim victory. Moss's struggle and determination became iconic, highlighting the physical and mental challenges of endurance racing. Her performance inspired many and remains a memorable moment in Ironman history.

Competition in business is important for several reasons. First, competition drives innovation. Second, business competition brings better quality. Finally, business competition keeps price inflation in check.
