That's difficult to answer. She mainly left because she was just there to reboot the series. She's off working on other things now, but if that's the reason or not, is unknown.
Also, she didn't really leave. At least not yet. She is still over seeing the production of Season 2.
Also, she never was the writer for the episodes other than the first three. There's a specific writer that is assigned to each episode. Lauren Faust was more so the director if anything.
