He is the son of Poseidon therefore destined to be in danger of monsters, enemies, and other gods or halfbloods. But to make this predicament even worse, his father is one of the Big Three.

After World War ll (the battle between Hades' children vs. Poseidon and Zeus's' children) the three brothers Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus, all swore on the River Stynx that they were to have no more affairs with mortals, therefore having no more kids.

Zeus and Poseidon both broke that oath which put the child born in even more danger.

The children's' names were Percy, and Thalia (who gets turned into a pine tree protecting other halfbloods, sick of being hunted down like an animal by hellhounds, furies, and other horrible monsters).

As if it isn't enough that the Big Three's children are in even more danger than any other god's children because they are more powerful than the others. Due to the fact that they are more powerful they also send off a more powerful aura than other halfbloods, or demigods, which attracts more monsters to them.

How many times does hades try to kill Percy?

Hades attempts to kill Percy Jackson indirectly multiple times throughout "The Lightning Thief," but he does not confront him directly. One notable instance is during their encounter in the Underworld, where Hades threatens Percy and his friends. Additionally, there are moments when Hades manipulates circumstances to put Percy in danger, but the primary confrontations occur in the context of Percy facing various challenges.
