The Apostle Paul shortly after his conversion preached Jesus Christ. Acts 9:20, " Immediately he (Paul) preached the Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God." Paul did believe Jesus was the Son of God.

However, BEFORE Paul became a Christian, he'd been a zealous Pharisee(Acts 23:5+6/ Philippians 3:5), and followed strict Pharisaic council...this would entail rejecting this 'Jesus' as the Christ, without a thought, and making it his mission to destroy all of his followers(Galatians 1:13+14/Philippians 3:6/1 Timothy 1:12+13/Acts 8:1), honestly feeling he was doing favor for God(Acts 26:11/John 16:1-4).
History:The Pharisees were expecting a very different Messiah-one who would arrive in power to crush the Roman yoke (Daniel 7:13). They ignored the fact that his FIRST coming would be in a humble fashion(Zechariah 9:9) and that the prophecy in Daniel would not apply for many years after his earthly soujourn. Humbling their hearts to listen and learn was not their way. They were self righteous and prideful, looking down on 'common folk'(Luke 18:11+12/John 7:47-49). They tried to impress men with their false piety, loved money and prominence, and burdened the people with useless man-made traditions(Matthew 23:4,5/Luke 16:14/Matthew 23:6+7/Luke 11:43 ) completely losing sight of faithfulness, mercy, justice and love of God(Matthew 23:23/Luke 11:41-44). Hence their main focus was on rules and regulations. They argued with Jesus over the Sabbath(Matthew 12:1+2/Mark 2:23+24/Luke 6:1+2---(Matthew 12:9-14/Mark 3:1-6/Luke 6:7-11/Luke 14:1-6), following tradition(Matthew 15:1+2/Mark 7:1-5) and associating with 'sinners' (Matthew 9:11/Mark 2:16/Luke 5:30/Luke 15:1+2). Though, on occasion, a Pharisee was humble enough to actually LISTEN to Christ, they, as a group, were spiritually blind(Matthew 15:12-14). Paul was among them until Christ 'humbled' him on the road and forced him to listen(Acts 9:3-19). Obviously Jesus, who had the power to 'read hearts'(Matthew 9:4), could see something in Paul's heart worth softening.

There is no biblical record of Jesus ordaining Paul as an apostle himself on Mount Sinai. Paul's encounter with Jesus, leading to his conversion and call to apostleship, occurred on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-19). The location of Paul's ordination as an apostle is not specifically mentioned in the Bible.

Paul sent Phoebe to Rome, requesting that she be received in a manner worthy of the saints. In Romans 16:1-2, he commends her as a deacon of the church in Cenchreae and asks the Roman believers to assist her in whatever she may need, highlighting her service to many, including himself.
