Elizabeth was seen as vulnerable because of her birth. In 1558 when she became queen she was legally illegitimate. One of her first acts as queen was to establish the English Protestant church causing an uproar in Rome. Most of Europe was still Catholic and openly shown their disdain for her decision. She was an unmarried woman in an era that believed women unfit to lead. Elizabeth I never stated she was unwilling to marry, but would never seemed to settle on a suitor. There was the risk if she married a foreign royal she would lose control of her kingdom, opening the country to outside control, especially in regards to religion. Yet if she married one of her subjects it could be viewed as a weakness. Yet still remaining unmarried was a weakness all in itself. Elizabeth I brought her nation to a great level of prosperity but never knew complete stability. As most monarch's of that time, there was constant threat, real and sometimes imagined, from both within the kingdom and from afar.
There is some confusion. Queen Elizabeth II is from the house of Windsor. The Tudors included Queen Elizabeth I and Henry VIII. Queen Elizabeth II was born in April 1926

Queen Elizabeth I (reigned November 1558 to March 1603) was known as " The Virgin Queen" Also some lesser known nicknames were "Good Queen Bess", " The Faerie Queen" and "Glorianna" Because Elizabeth I never married her nickname was the Virgin Queen. Because she was loved by so many, her other nickname was Good Queen Bess.
Queen Elizabeth I (1533-1603) was the queen of England and Ireland. Despite the threat of a Spanish invasion of England, she reigned a long time, and was popular with the populace.

Some people just can't help but try and kill her. ie, the insane, terrorists, the black queen, etc, etc.
You need to be more specific in your question. Do you mean Queen Elizabeth I, or some other Elizabeth?
It was quite peaceful. Some mishaps here and there but overall yea, quite peaceful.
Elizabeth was known as the virgin queen as we have never heard of her children. in some history sources would show that she did have a child but they never actually survived, she buried them in her garden
Good Queen Bess, Gloriana, The Virgin Queen
