Back in those old time segrigation was really bad (segrigation=discrimination of race). Whites didn't want to have Blacks treated equally. MLK was trying to fix the problem. There was alot of hatred and MLK was making a very big difference in the problem. By having equal rights no matter skin color. His speaches are inspirational.
