Why do people get star struck?

Most people who watch television, films and Broadway and other professional stage productions, feel the people (Actors/Actresses) who perform, or are so open in public or in front of a camera, are very brave.

In general, most people are too scared (i.e. nervous, stage fright) to speak, sing or act in front of an audience or camera. Also, the general public are likely to believe that somehow, people who are in the public eye are, somehow, extra special in some way: Often giving them qualities based on characters they portray.

Often the casts, merely actors, on medical television shows -- i.e. ER, Grey's Anatomy or House -- are stopped and asked for medical advice. Fans don't always understand they actors who memorized words in a script. They often imagine, also, that celebrities have better lives, less problems or no problems than the general public have.

In turn, they put them on a higher level in their mind; looking up to them as if they are a master teacher or royalty.
