The ring was made by Sauron, and when it was made, He put some of his power into it. Sauron was an Maia. Meaning he was one of first people on Arda, part of the Valar.

The ring bears some of his life force, and whilst the ring is intact, sauron cannot be killed.

The reason they have to travel to Mt. Doom to destroy the ring is because it was forged there and no other thing on arda can damage it

Hope this helped

Is there a fourth Lord of the Rings movie?

No, there is not a 4th lord of the rings movie because there were only three books. "The Fellowship of the ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King." If you want to count "The Hobbit" or "There and Back Again" it wouldn't be a lord of the rings movie because it basically tells of how the ring was found and the adventure of Bilbo Baggins and the Dwarves. In that book they didn't know that Bilbo's ring was the One Ring, so it is not a part of "The Lord of the rings". It would be a separate movie, and not part of the series.

What does Boromir want to do with the Ring in the Lord of the Rings?

He wanted to take it back to Gondor for use against Sauron. Mostly, I think, to impress his father.

Can People live on the Elven Ring of Fire?

The Ring of Fire, Narya, is one of the three elven rings. These, like the other rings of power, seem to grant abilities in proportion to the original strength of the user. Throughout the time of The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, it is owned by Gandalf, so we may draw some conclusion about it from what he does. Gandalf is certainly capable of eating. Moreover, while guiding the Fellowship from Rivendell, he appears to do so. At the least, it is several times mentioned that "they ate" (the word "they" refers to the group, and Gandalf was part of the group), and Gandalf not eating would be sufficiently remarkable for the narrator to probably mention it. If he did eat on that that journey, he probably can't go without. After all, the food and plates and utensils he would use have bulk and weight, and they want to travel as quickly as they can.

What is The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien about?

On a basic plot level, the Lord of the Rings is about a powerful Lord who managed to turn much of what was truly weak human will into an incredible ability to fight and destroy everything positive in his world. The plot of the story is how brave individuals sought to turn the tide and bring about that Lord's doom.Tolkein called his books "applicable" as opposed to "allegorical" meaning that there is no set thematic meaning to the book and its story can be applied in parts or in whole to worldwide occurrences that are different to different people. There are strong themes about the value of diversity, teamwork, the environment, humility, valiance, and hopefulness. At the same time the book gives a harsh critique of industrialism, homogeneity, hegemony, discrimination, and belligerence. The lord of the rings is about a hobbit called Frodo who was given a ring that held so much power that many evil people wanted it. Frodo had to destroy the ring in the one place that it could be destroyed, Mount Doom in Mordor. The book is all about Frodo's adventure to reach Mordor and the new friends and enemies he meets on the way.The title of the novel "Lord of the Rings" refers to the story's main antagonist, the Dark Lord Sauron, who had in an earlier age created the One Ring to rule the other Rings of Power as the ultimate weapon in his campaign to conquer and rule all of Middle-earth. From quiet beginnings in the Shire, a Hobbit land not unlike the English countryside, the story ranges across north-west Middle-earth, following the course of the War of the Ring through the eyes of its characters, notably the Hobbits Frodo Baggins, Samwise "Sam" Gamgee, Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck and Peregrin "Pippin" Took, but also the Hobbits' chief allies and travelling companions: Aragorn, a Human Ranger, Boromir, a Human nobleman, Gimli, a Dwarf warrior, Legolas, an Elven prince, and Gandalf, a Wizard.

Who is lords of rings AIMED at?

If you're not meaning the title, but the books/movies, then its aimed at basically everyone. If the answer you want is who the title (the lord of the rings) is aimed at, it could be two characters and an object. It's either Sauron, the creator of the ring, or it's meant to be Frodo, who mastered the ring and destroyed it. You could also mean that the One Ring is the master of the 19 other rings of power.

Where to find the Lord of the Rings ring?

ebay.com could be a good place to find a lord of the rings ring. Yes, Ebay would be a nice place to look. If you're going for the generic steel ones or silver-plated/gold-plated, you shouldn't have a problem. However if you want an actual gold, white-gold, silver or platinum ring trying searching on Google or go to Noble Collection. There will many hobby, memorabilia and prop websites selling you authentic pieces. However, they are very expensive. Very expensive, especially if you buy from Noble Collection. A lot of their Lord of the Rings swords, rings and earings are very expensive. Amazon has authentic Lord of the Rings prop as well, however they too are very expensive.
