so many answers so little typing space. ok so he would want to pretect his robin. (which ever one he would have at the time but i'm just gonna say dick grayson the first robin) just because crimanels are very predictabul they would attack (i hate this sterio type!) the waker part of the team. which would mean dick would be beaten by every crimanel in gotham. put him on the edge of death beat him more then ask for ransom. unless it was joker ten he would probally beat him kill him or my favorite twisted idea, brain wash him and make him his little side kick. bruce (batman) could also not want every single date he has to end up getting captured then he loses all his money on there ransom oh and the girl would be pised to. then the last reason the sleezy disgusting annoying press they would up bruces but 24-7. im sure mostly it's because he wants his loved ones to stay safe. oh and they could also get alfred penny worth bruce wayne batman's seloved butler. wow that was alot
