Why does Dumbledore die in Harry Potter?

Harry allowed himself to be hit with the killing curse because he had found out he was the seventh Horcrux, the one Voldemort had created without knowing. He knew this was the only way to defeat Voldemort for good and save all of his friends. After he was hit with the curse he fell unconcious and found himself in King's Cross station, where he found Dumbledore and the Horcrux that had been destroyed (the baby-like thing). He did not die .

Well Harry Potter dies because Voldemort uses the Avada kadava curse on Harry.He comes back because Harry was a horcrux Voldemort never meant to create, so when harry died a bit of voldemort died too, Once harry comes back Voldemort can be destroyed at last.

Dumbledore dies as a result of a killing curse cast by Severus Snape. However rather than being the malicious act it initially appears to be Severus Snape actually kills Dumbledore because said headmaster ordered him to do so. It is believed that Dumbledore orders Snape to kill him as not only is Dumbledore already dieing but Snape enters into an Unbreakable Vow with Narcissa Malfoy thus meaning that if he did not kill Dumbledore when Draco failed to do so he would die.

Albus Dumbledore had always been the only thing Lord Voldemort was scared of. For Voldemort to take over, Dumbledore had to die.

He enlisted Draco Malfoy to do the job knowing he would fail and he could then kill him. Narcissa Malfoy did not want her son to die and so made Severus Snape promise to kill Dumbledore.

However, Dumbledore himself wanted Snape to kill him as he was already dying after he placed a curse ring onto his hand. Snape managed to contain the curse within his hand but when Dumbledore asks Snape how long it will take before the curse on the ring takes over his whole body and not just his hand, and Snape replies little over a year. Dumbledore then said that when the time came Snape must kill him to protect Draco's soul and (although Snape did not know this part) to ensure that nobody else became master of the Elder Wand.

Dumbledore wore the ring because it contained the Resurrection Stone, a stone that according to legend will rise people from the dead, and Dumbledore wished to apologise to his sister and parents for something he did when they were alive.
