Yes he does with Annabeths sword.
In The Last Olympian, the climax could be pinpointed as the moment in the throne room of Olympus when Luke Castellan is fighting the Titan Lord, Kronos, for control of his concious. Luke wins, but there is a price to pay, and he dies a hero. RIP Luke.
Percy defeats Kronos (A.K.A. Luke) and the Olympians won the battle!!
I think your are talking about the climax. It happens when Percy gives Luke/Kronos Annabeth's knife and Luke "kills" himself/Kronos.
The irony is that Luke really saved the world by killing himself to stop Kronos.
No, Grover Underwood does not die in The Last Olympian. He joins the Council of Cloven Elders.

No because Luke killed himself to stop Kronos.

Yes, Kornos comes alive in the Last Olympian. Once he destroyed Luke Castellan's soul, he bathed in the river Styx. Once Percy was sure of this, he went through with Nico's plan which was to also bathe in the river Styx. Percy becomes invincible and takes on Kronos. In the Temple of Gods, Luke is fighting for his last breath. Then the Great Prophecy comes true. Percy is the 16 year old child that makes the final decision; give Luke the cursed blade, the knife he gave Annabeth. Luke hits his Achilles spot, and Kronos is blown to Tarturus.
Percy, Annabeth, Groover, Rachel, and their friends battle against Kronos. Luke has died and now is in Kronos body. At the end, Luke tries to escape out of him and stabs Kronos (and himself) to kill him, which actually killed himself too. Now he is dead.
In the last olympian, Percy gives the knife to Luke, who turned out to be trator in the lightning theif, and half Kronos, half Luke Killed himself.
after the son of nemesis falls through Mount Olympus' throne room
A hero.
yes and no. Luke never went back to the Olympians side, but he did sacrifice himself in the last book. He sacrificed himself in order to defeat Kronos. Since Kronos is possesing him, Kronos sorta dies with him. Not really but sorta. Fortunately and unfortunately luke dies later on in the book.
