I think he is very proud of him and loves him unlike some of the other gods, but he talks to him even though he's not supposed to so that has to mean something. Not all the gods talk to their kids.

∙ 11y agoPoseidon is a fairly good father. He tries to be there for Percy and tries to help him. He gave Percy the sand dollar in The Battle of the Labyrinth and without that Percy wouldn't have been able to pay the East and Hudson rivers. He also stated that Percy is his favorite son. Even though he is not always there he always tries to show Percy, in the little things, that he loves him.
