Azula was considered a prodigy with Firebending, and she trained and trained to make her father proud of her, and sort of pity Zuko. Her fire is blue possibly because the show creators wanted her to seem more powerful.
I believe it's because her firebending is hotter and more powerful than other firebenders' (if you see her firebending in the deserted town in "The Chase", you'll see that once her fire hits a building, it turns orange because it isn't as hot anymore, compared to when she is bending it). How do you get past fire lord azzola?
First defeat the guards. Azula will jump from her throne. Dodge her lightning, and use Zuko to bring the fire from the torches into the box under Azula's throne. The water will open up under the airship's floor. Use Katara to bend the water to put the torches out. Once you put them all out, Azula will get angry and shoot bigger lightning bolts at you. Dodge them. When she says things like,"How are you defeating me." ATTACK. Do this about 3 times and she will soon fly to the wall, and you have defeated her.
