It is never said why Katniss waits to have children with Peeta. Also, if you think about it, the kids have to be five of six years in the epilogue, so really it was only ten years. It is logical though, as having children at 17/18 is quite young.
Mid-thirties probably (it takes Peeta 15 years to convince her to have a baby)
In Catching Fire, Peeta does propose to Katniss for the Capitol, and she says yes for the Capitol. Catching Fire leaves off with their wedding plans still underway, but neither of them are happy about it because it is all to ensure their safety. They are, however, married in the epilogue of 'Mockingjay'.
Yes. They have 2 children after 5-15 years of trying, and she had them because Peeta wanted them so badly. She has 2 children with Peeta. A girl, and a boy. We don't know their names.Just that the girl has dark hair and Peeta's blue eyes and the toddler boy has blond hair and Katniss's eyes. *Also in Catching Fire, Katniss is "pregnant" as a part of their little scheme and romance, but she has a 'miscarriage".
In the first book of the series, Katniss pretends to be in love with Peeta because she hopes to gain the support of sponsors, so she will be sent supplies while in the arena and will be more likely to win. By the end of the trilogy she is as much in love with him as he has always been with her. She starts falling in love with him during the 1st game. It flourishes in the second book and is tested in the 3rd book.
Okay, first of all, Katniss does not know if she loves Peeta or Gale. Her feelings are really mixed up and she has a hard time making choices. Also, SPOILER ALERT!!! (I may be about to spoil the book for you if you continue reading). If Katniss doesn't look like she is madly in love with Peeta--some of the people in the Capitol aren't falling for it--then President Snow threatens to kill Gale and their families. Katniss and Peeta's relationship is confusing for them because Peeta (and even Katniss, sometimes) can't tell when or whether Katniss' feelings for Peeta are real- or just an act for Snow. Catching Fire really explains that Katniss is not that good with this act. Peeta actually loves Katniss, so it bothers him that Katniss has to act. Still, Katniss finds herself falling in love with Peeta. This is made worse by the fact Peeta says to the capitol audience that Katniss is going to have a baby so if Katniss survives, the capitol is going to be wondering 'So...where's the baby then...?'
No. But Katniss and Peeta have two.

yes they had a preety baby and had it : )
Because she obviously loved peeta more than gale....:)
Yes. This happens in the third book in the Hunger Games series, Mockingjay. Finnick and Annie get married in District 13, and Peeta Mellark bakes their wedding cake. Finnick wears one of Peeta's suits. Annie wears Katniss's outfit from visiting District 5. Later on, Finnick dies, and Annie has a baby. The baby is Finnick's.

Peeta in The Hunger Games interview with Ceaser Flickerman, gains all the attention because he has claimed that he likes Katniss, that he's always "had a crush since they were young." *SPOILER ALERT* In CATCHING FIRE, Peeta gains all the attention (again) in the interview because he has said that him and Katniss have already married. Then, he says always happy until "the baby" comes along into their lives (Katniss wasn't actually pregnant, it was just an act, later on when she comes back out of the arena they say that she had a "miscarriage")
It's most likely that Katniss named her baby girl; Rue. Because she talks about her through the entire series. And most likely the boy Gale. In my opinion, I don't think they would name the boy Gale, since of what happened with Prim and all that sad stuff. It just doesn't sound like somehting Katniss would wants, especially since she seems so upset about the whole thing. But it's possible. I've heard that the Little girl will be named Rue and the boy Haymitch
Katniss first interacts with Peeta is when she was eleven. After her father died, her family received some money for food and her mom promised to find a job before the money runs out. Instead Mrs.Everdeen went into deep depression. Katniss and Prim were starving. Katniss was trying to sell some old baby clothes of Prim's for money for food. She had no luck and accidentally dropped them in a puddle ( it was raining that day) and didn't bother to pick them up. She went into the square, the wealthiest part of district 12, to search for food in the merchants' garbage bins. Unfortuneally the garbage just got dumped, so Katniss had no luck. When she passed the bakery the smell of fresh baking bread made her dizzy. When she checked their garbage, Peeta's mom bursts out and yells at Katniss. Instead of leaving she goes behind the bakery and sits by the apple tree. She hears some loud noise in the bakery and expects Peeta's mom to come back, but thisntime with a stick turns out it was Peeta. In his hands were two large burnt loaves of bread. He picked off the burnt pieces and without looking at Katniss he threw the two loaves at her feet. The next dy at school, Katniss saw Peeta in the hallways and his cheek was red and has a black eye.
