Why is Adam and Eve was born as an adult?

Adam and Eve were created by God as the first man and woman ever on Earth and were especially asked by him to be "fruitful and multiply" during the Creation before original sin came about. This meant that they were given the task to raise children for generations to come without having to be children themselves earlier in their lives. Adam's name meant that he was the first man, while Eve's meant that she was the mother of the living.
