Why is Madge not going to be in the Hunger Games movie?

I have searched everywhere to be proved wrong, but it has been confirmed that Madge will not have a part in The Hunger Games movie. I guess Madge isn't that important of a character but considering she is the entire reason Katniss has the Mockingjay, that should be enough of a reason to put her in the movie. Its not like leaving Prim out of the movie or someone like that. ( gosh, can you imagine if they did that??)

madge will not be in the movie because the director wanted to tie in Prim more into the trilogy than have madge be mentioned few times and then die after Catching Fire.

i know she is an important element in the story but it will still be the best movie ever!

Well, we don't really know. She really isn't a big part of the movie and it would add useless time to the film. So you can really be only a little mad. If they left someone like Gale or Effie, then you could be enraged.
