Dash is considered lesbian in fanon by some people in the fandom because of her rainbow colored mane and tail (rainbows are used by the LGBT community as a gay-pride symbol), but also because of how she acts. Lauren Faust, the creator of the show, as stated how unfair she thinks this is, to assume the orientation of someone based on how they act, and said that assuming Dash is gay is an insult to girls everywhere, both straight and gay, who don't quite conform to society's notion of 'femininity'.

∙ 10y agoNo. Given that My Little Pony is meant for young children, it is highly unlikely that the writers would create a lesbian character. Rainbow Dash is a tomboy, but that does not make her a lesbian. She is not really the type to be interested in a romantic relationship anyway.
