Why is mel Gibson antisemetic?

However, he does not make these types of statements in public which makes it harder to verify them. The reason people harp on the drunk comments is that for once people heard him say in public what he usually says in private. Additionally, the way he presented the Jewish leadership in the Passion of the Christ used numerous Anti-Semitic tropes such as traditional Jewish noses and apparent intransigence and unfeeling characters.

Mel Gibson may or may not hate Jews, but he was drunk when he said it. He also apologized to Jewish communities, but some people still think he does because when you are drunk, the real truth can come out. So maybe he does hate Jews. Either way it is wrong to say anything offensive to different races or religions, especially when you are a celebrity.

Mel Gibson is considered antisemetic because he beleives that the Jewish people killed Jesus Christ, which he tells in movie The Passion of the Christ. He was arrested by a Jewish police officer, and he beleives the Jews started all the wars. According to the New Testament, it says that Judas Iscariot was the one who got Jesus killed by being bribed by the authorities, and Judas was a Jew. But so was Jesus. So if you make antisemetic jokes, (Jokes against Jews) then you are making jokes about Jesus.

For example, on July 28, 2006, when Gibson was arrested for driving under the influence, he exploded into an angry tirade when the arresting officer would not allow him to drive home. Gibson climaxed with the words, "Fucking Jews... the Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. Are you a Jew?"
