  • The winner's District gets food for all of the citizens.
  • They're called The Hunger Games because the capitol, and evil, power-hungry form of government, is 'hungry' for the excitement of watching children from their own country kill each other off. Some of the children themselves are blood-thirsty and evil. They're terrible games. The capitol is hungry for death and blood, some of the children are hungry for victory and murder.
  • This one may be a less insightful one, but the tributes are hungry. There is not much food to eat in the arena, so you have to know how to find it, which most of the tributes don't know how to do. They're hungry, and they're battling their hunger on top of the fact that they have to try and find shelter, find water, avoid being killed, and find other resources. They're playing this game while hungry for food as well as, stated above, the death of their enemies, hence HUNGER Games.
