Ashoka was framed with bombing the Jedi Temple by a friend of hers and is put on trial for treason. Although she is later pardoned when the real culprit is found, she is devastated by the willingness of her allies to believe in her guilt and refuses to rejoin the Jedi.

But Palpentine also says, he taught everything to his apprentice, who killed him in his sleep. so Palpentine/Sideous created Anakin out of midi-chlorians. tada! so the real answer is Darth Sideous/Chancellor Palpentine is Anakin's dad
