As we all know that at the generating station if the the voltage ratings are at higher level like 66 KV
to 132 KV
so due to it we can obtain a good transmission line with a lower voltage drop and also the voltage ratings can be decreased with the help of step up or step down transformer upto
10% very easily at the receiving station.
