Why was Megatron able to kill Optimus Prime in Transformers 2 -- I thought only a Prime could kill another Prime?

Only a Prime can kill an original Prime. Also Optimus was fighting three Decepticons. He turned his head to see where Sam was and Megatron put his blade right through his Spark and then shot him in the wound.

∙ 11y agoNo. Optimus Prime is a prime and nothing can kill primes. Only a prime can kill a prime. It is impossible for Megatron to kill a prime because primes are the most powerful fighting units in Transformers.

although he is called his brother, he actually isnt, he is referred to by Optimus in the movie as his brother but if you read the prequel book, he is only referred to as such because they co ruled Cybertron togerther before Megatron was corrupted Regarding previous poster...This is actually not so. I thought in that story, the Prequel book they WERE brothers. Half brothers, and they refer to each other as brothers. In the old cartoon they aren't but in the movie they def. could be.. Here's why: 1. Optimus DID call Megatron brother in the first movie. This could interpreted as a sense of comradery, and that they are of the same speicies etc. BUT it could be argured to the literal sense. 2. Optimus tells Sam that the Decepticon revived the last of the Primes....AKA Megatron... Any way you put it, it could be either.
Does demolishor die in transformers 2?
Yes. Optimus kills him by shooting him in the head. That is wrong, he gets shot down by some sort of elecrtical charge from ships. Sorry thought you were talking about devastator.
Why does sentinel prime kill ironhide?
Sentinel Prime killed Ironhide because before the war in chicago. Ironhide and Megatron secretly fought and Ironhide shot Megatron in the face where he was injured. There was also a conflict in Transformers: Dark of the Moon the game where Ironhide shot Megatron and Megatron fell into a hole, Megatron later stated "He will pay for that"after he survived the fall in the hole. Later Megatron met Sentinel and told him to kill Ironhide and try to injure Bumble bee. In Transformers 3, Sentinel made a sorry face when pulling out his rust rifle after that he went for Bumble bee and try to shoot his spark as in the movie, each bullet that bumble bee dodge from Sentinel was either facing towards his head or his chess. During the battle between prime and Sentinel, Ratchet attacked Sentinel then went towards Bumble bee until Side Swipe interfared and cut Sentinel off and later went back to Ratchet. There is a possibility that if Ironhide was there, Optimus would have never lost his arm.

In the first movie, when the Autobots come down to Earth,they introduce themselves to Sam then Ratchet shoots a healing laser at his neck it just took time to recover that is why it was used in the secend and third movie

Idk but probably because the person who played his voice in the movie was black and usually black people get killed first not to b racist or anything but that's probably y:( I thought he had a cool car when I saw that move.
