Why was the Pokemon episode 357 banned?

Because it showed a girl in a bikini which is very inappropriate.

Actually, it showed James with inflatable Boobs and as above was very inappropriate.

Also James made a remark to Misty, something along the lines of, "You wont get these until you are older." Motioning to his inflatable boobs.

You can watch in in Japanese with the unbanned parts in it, but not in English.

You can see the episode without the band parts in English although, not to my knowledge, you cannot buy it

There were actually multiple episodes banned. The first was called "electric soldier Porygon," and it was banned because a strobe effect caused 900 japanese children to suffer epileptic seizures, with a number of them being hospitalized. There was another banned for having too-much cleavage, another banned because it used real guns against the main characters, and a final one banned because of bad timing (it was an episode about earthquakes that was set to air right after the major tsunami/earthquake that hit Thailand).

nobody confirmed why but i believe US didnt air it because its not part of the current storyline. same as ash and may heated battles in hoenn and mysterious creatures pokemon. they were just flashback episodes.

As far as known, this episode is not banned. In the dub, it features the debut of Furret, since the episode that marked its actual debut two episodes earlier was banned due to the appearance of Jynx (its skin was originally colored black rather than the purple seen now, which was seen as controversial).
