Why won't my Pokemon red version let me trade to Pokemon silver. It keeps saying the cable is inavtive and can't connect them...?

if you have a Pokemon on silver that isn't on red it than can't trade. Or if there is a new move/TM that your Pokemon knows it won't work oh and you have to use the time machine to trade(the big thing at the far end of the Pokemon center, upstairs).

You have to have iTunes. That is why it is saying that you need to connect to iTunes. You have to download the latest version of iTunes from Apple's website, and open it up when you have the iPod connected to the computer.
