What kind of stories did h g wells write?

In academic settings, writing assignments tend to fall into four categories: * Journal writing * Creative writing * Academic writing * Pseudo or real professional writing When students write in journals, they are not writing to perform; instead, they are writing to think on paper about new ideas they are encountering. Journals provide a great opportunity for students to learn by writing, and they encourage students to be reflective. Journals should not be graded except on the basis of having been done with sufficient care. For extra resources on journals, go to Ideas for Using Journals. Creative writing invites students to be imaginative and to entertain the reader. Although this writing may seem most appropriate for creative writing classes, it can be used in a variety of ways in other courses as well. For instance, in Philosophy, students might assume the persona of one philosopher (say Spinoza) writing to another in a different era (say Aristotle) in response to having read something (say Nichomachean Ethics). Although the resulting text is literally a letter, it calls on students' powers of imagination and on their knowledge of the philosophies of both the hypothetical writer and reader. Almost all writing done in schools falls into the category of academic writing, which is writing that asks students to assume the role of themselves as students writing to the instructor as the examiner. The direction of information flow is reversed from typical communication situations in which the writer is instructing the reader. As a result, writers of academic prose are displaying their knowledge; they are being scrutinized by someone who knows more. Typically, academic writing will be a response to an essay exam question, a critical essay, a lab report, or a research (term) paper. Students try to display their mastery of subject matter and of the conventions of writing within a discipline. Professional writing is writing in the genres and in the situations that professionals in the field write in. Professional writing assignments are most appropriate in finishing courses, such as senior-level design courses. In order to make these assignments effective, the teacher needs to study the kinds of writing the new professional is likely to encounter on the job and then to set up situations that ask students to try on the persona of a professional. Often assignments can be given in the form of a memo from a supervisor to an employee.

What subjects in school are bad and irrelevant?

Some subjects are relevant to all students (like English, math, basic science, basic health, writing, history, geography, etc), and some subjects are relevant for some students and not others (like home ec., advanced math, advanced science, auto mechanics, etc.). Since students get to choose their classes, except for subjects that are relevant to all students, they can choose those that are relevant to them.

What types of subjects are told in home schooling?

The same subjects that are taught in public schools, in addition to whatever subjects the parent/teacher or children are interested in learning. Some states require home-schooled students to take standardized testing in the basic subjects (math, science, English, history) and others do not. Both of my kids homeschool. This is their schedule for this year as an example: My 3rd grader: Reading, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Math, Writing, Geography, and Language Arts My 6th grader: Language Arts, PreAlgebra, Science, World Culture, Spanish, Keyboarding

What is the main purpose of reflective writing?

As I am a teacher who is occupied in the field of academics, I can throw some light on this topic. The main purpose of reflective writing in academics is to encourage students to engage in critical thinking, self-examination, and introspection about their learning experiences. Reflective writing is a process of exploring and evaluating one's thoughts, feelings, and actions related to a specific learning experience or topic. There are professional reflective writing services that can help students develop a deeper understanding of the subject matter and their learning process, identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies for improvement. It also helps students to develop their writing skills and their ability to communicate their ideas effectively. Reflective writing can take many forms, including essays, journals, logs, and portfolios. The type of reflective writing required may vary depending on the discipline, the assignment, or the instructor's preferences. However, regardless of the format, the goal of reflective writing is always to encourage students to engage in critical self-reflection and to enhance their learning and personal growth. What I suggest is that if you face any kind of difficulty in reflective writing, it will be a wise decision to get in touch with a provider of reflective essay writing services in the UK and improve your writing skills. There is no harm in seeking professional help if you lack in something.
