go into the underground, that's were you will find any fossil Pokemon. except on diamond, you cannot get a shieldon or lileap. those are only found on pearl. then go to the oreburgh museum and give your fossils to the professor and he will revive them!

To get fossils, you have to go into the Ruins of Alph. The ruins of alph are located near Violet City. Then, you can take the fossils to Pewter City in the Kanto Region to the Pewter City museum.

In Oreborough City you can turn fossils into Pokemon. There'll be this little museum in the city, where you give your fossil to the man at the counter and you get back a Pokemon. However, you need an open space in your Pokemon rack for it to work

yes they can on diamond pearl and platinum, if you dig up a Pokemon fossil, take it to the mining museum in oreburugh city (probs spelt that wrong) and they will uncover it for you...^_^
Blackthorne city is not in Pokemon Diamond but in Pokemon Heart Gold/Soul Silver
