Nothing is called a deoxys egg.. You can get one, only by cheating. Your egg is cheated, it most will never hatch, deoxys may hatch at from 0 to 30 000 steps. Good luck

Best Pokemon Sapphire team?
There really is no best team as it depends on who you are facing but a team of all legendaries would be good. If your team on sapphire consisted of rayquaza, kyogre, latias, and the three regis. That would be good. But If you could trade for latios and groudon and attended the nintendo event for deoxys then those three would be better than the Regis. The best team is all a matter of opinion though. A well rounded team of all different types with good moves is helpful.

It is possible, if you put your Pokemon up on the Global Trade System, that you could get that trade. Deoxys is rare, but a level 100 Salamence is a pretty good trade. ok to get jirachi u must get all the legendary Pokemon including rayquaza groundon or kyoger all the regi's the legendary bird(latios or latias) then you must go to victor road and catch all the Pokemon you havent caught yet then do the same in the water by the waterfall by ever grade city, then go to the day care man give him a girl zigzagoon and a boy poochyana then beat the Pokemon league 15 times then go back to the daycare man and he will give you an egg in that egg will be jirachi, sounds weird but that's how i got one, Then for deoxys you must go to the top of sky pillar catch rayquaza train him to level 100 then go to the top of sky pillar go to the spot where rayquaza was resting then tap b until deoxys comes good luck!
Is Deoxys a good Pokemon?
My opinion is yes. I think it's a very good and rare pokemon. But the problem with Deoxys is about the moves it learns. Here's what I mean (Note: You catch Deoxys on Birth Island, at 30 lv.): At 33 levels, Deoxys learns Pursuit. At 41 levels, Deoxys learns Psychic. At 49 levels, Deoxys learns Snatch. At 57 levels, Deoxys learns Psycho Shift. At 65 levels, Deoxys learns Zen Headbutt. At 73 levels, Deoxys learns Cosmic Power. At 81 levels, Deoxys learns Recover. At 89 levels, Deoxys learns Psycho Boost. And last, at 97 levels, Deoxys learns Hyper Beam. See? If you check it out by yourself, you'll see that there is only a small amount of moves that are good enough for Deoxys to be taught (Psychic, Zen Headbutt, Psycho Boost and maybe Recover).
