You star in the new OWN series television series "If Loving You Is Wrong." Can you give Answers users a snapshot of what the show's about?

The show surrounds 5 women who all live in or near the same neighborhood, and the men they love. These characters ride an emotional roller coaster that takes them deep, I mean real deep. It's Full of secrets and deception at every turn. This is the type of show that will definitely have you yelling at the tv. Lol.

How did you land the role of Randal in "If Loving You Is Wrong"?

I was put on tape at the casting office and the next morning I was invited to meet Tyler Perry and the Casting Director for the callback. It all happened so fast I really didn't have time to think much about what was happening. All of a sudden, a couple of hours later I got the call that I booked the role.

Can you tell us a little bit about Randal and what drew you to his character?

Let's just say Randal rhymes with Scandal for a reason. The show opens with a bang...quite literally. Hahaha. There is a steamy love scene between Randal and his next door neighbor's wife, right off the jump. Randal is a very calculating, cunning snake. There is a fine line between love and obsession and Randal leaps right over it without thinking twice. I have never played a more interesting, intense and conniving role in my life. Playing the villain is so fun!

Was there anything you did to make your role your own that wasn't originally scripted for you?

I found this "Randal Stare" that just came out of me early on during filming. It is the creepiest thing, hahaha. It really gives Randal an eerie dimension I think. The character is sooo different from myself. I swear I'm a really nice guy!! Lol.

What's been the best part about working with the one...the only...Tyler Perry on "If Loving You Is Wrong"?

Getting to know the man himself. He's really a genuinely good person. Great heart and very generous.

Don't be afraid to take risks. That is where you find the deepest and truest rewards.

"If Loving You Is Wrong" premiered on September 9th and was the most watched series premiere in OWN history with 1.93 MILLION viewers! How does it feel to know that you have 1.93 million fans that already love the show?

Seriously feels surreal. Tyler's fans are the best and very loyal. I am beyond thrilled to have them and the newer viewers supporting our show. We promise not to disappoint. Every week gets better and better!

You've had guest roles on several shows since 2006. Do you prefer playing a variety of characters or would you rather play a single character for multiple seasons?

While I've loved being able to play such a diverse array of characters throughout the years, I am really enjoying the chance to stick to one character and get to grow and explore him week after week. The depths of Randal's psychosis are endless. I'm gonna have fun playing him for years to come.

What guest role has been your favorite thus far?

I played a role on Bones a few years ago. It was my first guest star role and sticks out as a role where I got to embody the character and show a little range. I also got to play a stripper on Raising Hope and marry Amy Sedaris in Vegas. Lol. That was awesome.

Time to spill: Who has been the person you've loved working with the most?

There have been so many incredibly cool people. But I really cherish the opportunity I had to work with the late Michael Clarke Duncan. He had such a gentle and down to earth spirit. I was having trouble remembering a certain line and he was so supportive and encouraging. "You've got this man...", I'll never forget that.
