You found fame on Laguna Beach and The Hills. Now that you look back on your reality tv experience, would you say it had a negative or positive impact on your life?

I wouldn't take anything back... I believe everything happens for reason. I am now able to help raise awareness towards the deadly disease of addiction, and can show individuals currently struggling that there's a life worth living if you can find recovery.

You recently celebrated 4 years of sobriety. Congratulations on such a huge milestone! Do you still have temptations today?

Thank you! It's been the most amazing four years of my life! I rarely have temptations, and if I do it's only for a few minutes. It's just a feeling/ thought that comes and goes quickly. The instrumental parts of my sobriety that helps limit The Temptations are having a solid foundation, fellowship and being of service to others.

What's the one thing you would tell an addict contemplating whether or not to get treatment?

I would ask yourself if your life is going the way you would like it to and if you can stop using drugs or alcohol on your own. If you can't answer yes to both I believe your quality of life could improve with some sort of treatment. I don't believe that people have to live with addiction or mental illness, there are solutions.

We offer a full continuum of care including detoxification services, residential treatment, school program, faith based Christian program, transitional living, intensive outpatient and monitoring. We specialize in the treatment of young adults.

Being on the other side of the fence of this deadly disease is one of the most incredible, life-changing and powerful experiences I've ever had. There's nothing more self gratifying than helping others and not looking for anything in return. I truly believe God has put me in this position to spread and raise awareness.

Currently you're Client Services Manager at Northbound Treatment Services in Orange County, California. Is being a former addict helpful or hindering to your work?

I was previously a client services manager at Northbound but now I'm their referral relations and PR manager. I believe being an alcoholic and addict is absolutely beneficial in our line of work ... I know for myself when I was in treatment, I was able to connect/relate better with people that had similar life experiences to myself, rather than someone who only had knowledge from a book.

What was the most profound piece of advice you received from Dr. Drew during Celebrity Rehab?

The most profound piece of advice Dr. Drew gave me was to surrender to the disease, drop the ego and be willing to take guidance.
