Amanda is no longer the mayor of Defiance. How do you think this will alter her actions in the new season?

Amanda's struggling with no longer having power and it leads her down a destructive path this season. She's not making the best choices and the people surrounding her don't have her best interests in mind.

Fashion alert! What do you think of the fashion sense in Defiance's dystopian future?

The fashion is amazing in Defiance! Simonetta Mariano, our costume designer is extraordinary. Her use of fabrics and different textures brings a unique richness to the wardrobe. She has a different color scheme for each alien race. I love walking into the Defiance costume department; Simonetta's inspiration boards for each character on the show are very detailed and very unique. This season for Amanda we got to create a sexier look: a mix of 1940's fashion meets Blade Runner meets brothel Madam. My favorite piece of wardrobe is the veil Amanda wears in the "NeedWant," it helps shadow my eyes so you never really know what's going on.

Are you glad you don't have to spend hours in the makeup department, getting turned into an alien?

YES! I paid my dues for many years on Buffy and Angel wearing prosthetics. I am more than happy to be a human on an alien show!

Are you excited to be a part of Comic Con this summer? Are you dressing up for it?

I've been attending Comic Con for years as a guest attending the panels. I've watched it grow and become this massive force that takes over San Diego! I always have a lot of fun interacting with fans and reuniting with actors I've worked with over the years. I would love to dress up, maybe this year since I'm brunette I'll rock my Wonder Woman costume!

What will you have in store for Defiance fans in Comic Con?

A lot of fun! As a cast we take our panel very seriously as a time to connect with our fans, to hear what they like and don't like and we have some fun in the process! I personally cannot wait to see the Defiance cosplay this year. Last year someone made a hell bug costume from scratch, I leaped off the stage to get a picture with that guy because the costume was epic!

What can Defiance fans expect from Amanda this season?

Amanda is on a dark path this season. She's addicted to "Adreno: Blue Devil" (an alien drug) and she's being manipulated by a lot of evil forces that she doesn't know about.

Defiance has done a very clever thing by interweaving the show with the video game. Do you play the video game?

I tried playing the video game, but I ran into a wall, set myself on fire and blew myself up within the first 3 minutes...I'm not good! The graphics on the game are amazing though, you really feel like you are in the show!

What does Defiance offer that other science fiction TV shows out there don't?

At its core, Defiance is a character-driven drama wrapped in Science Fiction. I think it's a show that appeals to everyone, not just the sci-fi fans. The writers really take the characters to the edge this year, no punches are pulled and nobody is left unscathed. Plus, the female characters in the show are all very strong, complex, dynamic women and some of the most dangerous characters on television!

Defiance is located over the ruins of St. Louis, MO, which is where Answers is headquartered. What do you think happened to the Answers team when the Pale Wars broke out?

Hopefully the Answers team had all the answers and survived.... and then they rescued me!
