We often say the theory of evolution when we refer to the idea that life evolved through natural selection.
Note that the theory of evolution, at least as it is expressed in modern evolutionary synthesis, is far and away the bestexplanation for the countless facts we've discovered about life on earth and its long history here. In that light, modern evolutionary synthesis (MES) is considered fact by almost all of the scientific community.
The fact that the ideas expressed have not been proved false does not keep some from trying. And though the questions raised and the contrary opinions expressed are, in general, healthy for science on the whole, there is an undercurrent of desperate intent on the part of some investigators who attack the theory. Theory! Evolutionary theory is falsifiable, but has yet to be falsified. Find rabbit fossils in the pre- Cambrian and you could falsify evolutionary theory. Creationism and ID, on the other hand, are both not falsifiable. Thus, they are not theory.

Perhaps not, but evolution can exist without natural selection.
In evolution, natural selection is often called survival of the fittest.
the theory about how organisms change over time.
Survival of the fittest
his development in science is that he created the natural selection

Natural Selection
Natural selection explains the process of evolution: evolution by natural selection. It basically means that species with the highest fitness (survival rate) will live, and be selected by nature for the characteristics they possess that make them more apt to survive. Because of natural selection, evolution occurs.
No, natural selection is believed to result in evolution.

Natural selection is one of the 'guiding' principles of evolution.
