It is not. The boiling point of water (at standard pressure) is 100 deg C while the freezing point is 0 deg C. 100 is not the same as 0!

Does nitrogen change from a liquid to a gas at the same temperature at which water changes from liquids to a gas?

No it can not, their boiling points are vastly different.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, yes but the change will be explosive. If you poured liquid nitrogen into boiling water, all the liquid nitrogen would become gas and spray the remaining liquid boiling water in all directions. If you poured boiling water into liquid nitrogen, all the liquid nitrogen would become gas and spray the remaining liquid boiling water in all directions. Please don't try this, you will be severely injured!!!!!!

What happens to the temperature of boiling water when heat is added to the boiling water?

If you add energy to a boiling liquid, it will just boil faster, but the temperature will remain the same, at the boiling point. All the energy goes into phase change, not heating.

Do all the liquids at their boiling points have same vapour pressure?

At the same atmospheric pressure, yes. That's kind of the definition of boiling point: when the vapor pressure is the same as the atmospheric pressure.

Why is the boiling point of each fraction important?

if they all had the same boiling point they would condese at the same temperature which means the oils would not be able to seperate.

Is non rusting metal a physical change?

If by non rusting you mean it is in the same state it was made in then it wouldn't be part of any change. But if something is rusting it would be a chemical change because the metal is changing composition and it is not the same metal it was in the first place.

Is boiling a potato a physical change?

Yes, your changing the texture of the inside from a more harder on to that of a bit more softer.

What type of change will affect the state of matter but not its chemical makeup?

A change in state of matter, such as melting, freezing, or boiling, will affect the arrangement of particles without changing the chemical composition of the substance. For example, ice melting into water involves a change in state from solid to liquid, but the chemical makeup of water remains the same (H2O).

What happens during a physical change?

During a physical change, the substance's form or state may alter, but its chemical composition remains the same. This means no new substances are formed, and the change is usually reversible by physical means such as heating, cooling, or mixing with other substances. Examples include melting, freezing, boiling, or dissolving.

What is an example of change of state?

An example of a change of state is an ice cube melting and becoming liquid water, or liquid water boiling to become steam.

Boiling involves the same change of state as evaporation?

iam a science theacher ever 2 days i open on this web it is not right. the right ans is (freezing) and if you want any thing you can send me a message on this email carla-701@live.com

Why is the boiling point of water a physical change?

It's not a chemical change because the only the temperature and phase changes. The properties may be altered somewhat, but it the same chemical compound. No atomic bonds are broken or formed, there are no new substances formed, and none of the signs that indicate a chemical change are present. Some of the water is changing from a liquid to a gaseous state, and can be returned to a liquid state, unchanged, by cooling it.

Freezing involves a chemical reaction?

No, freezing involves phase change, which is a physical change. There is no chemical reaction, as the basic chemistry is unchanged it is still the same material in a different physical state.

What change involves a change in one or more physical properties?

It's called a physical change.

Is boiling point is always same as the melting point?

No, the boiling point and the melting point are not always the same. The boiling point is the temperature at which a substance changes from a liquid to a gas, while the melting point is the temperature at which a substance changes from a solid to a liquid.

Is boiled water a chemical change?

Boiling water is a physical change, not a chemical change. The water molecules remain the same chemical composition (H2O) even though they change state from a liquid to a gas. This change is reversible.

When the physical form of substance changes without changing its composition?

This process is known as a physical change. It involves a change in the state or appearance of a substance but does not result in the formation of a new substance. Examples of physical changes include melting ice, boiling water, and breaking a glass bottle. The chemical composition of the substance remains the same throughout the physical change.

Is hard boiling an egg physical or chemical?

Hard boiling an egg involves a physical change. The heat causes the proteins in the egg white and yolk to denature and coagulate, resulting in a solid structure, but the chemical composition of the egg remains the same.
