The Sun spews a relatively tiny amount of X-rays, but lots of low energy "cosmic rays" (aka. solar wind). In space, those things bombard our spacecraft and their inhabitants. On Earth, our magnetic field redirects the cosmic rays towards our poles, and the atmosphere stops everything more energetic than UV-B. We depend on ozone to stop UV-B... So, "no, not on Earth's surface you can't... but in airplanes, radiation exposure is documented."
