Yes you can, but the "stalk" will always make it's way upwards towards the light.

This is a fundamental part of plant growth, as a seed will not know what orientation it has landed in,

In minimal gravity and reversed lighting you could grow a radish upside down - but in minimal gravity - there is no up or down.

Not under normal conditions.

Plants respond to gravity so that branches grow up against gravity and roots grow down with gravity.

Once a plant reaches above ground it will grow towards the sun or another light source. So you could continue a plants growth upside down using light but a seed will always grow the right way up.

Yes.They have an inbuilt ability to reach toward the surface. It does, however, use more of their energy stores, so it is best to ascertain the right way up if possible.

the roots always go into the soil and the plant will eventually go towards the sun

if the soil is suspended and the top is closed the plant will find a way to receive sunlight

yes they do seeds are geotropic. that means that when they are planted in the ground they always grow up because they sense the way gravity is pulling and grow the other way to gravity.
