A chemical change is the change of one or more substances into other substances. A physical change is when the state or shape of matter is changed. In a chemical change molecules are combined or beak apart to form new substances.Rusting iron is an example of a chemical change. crushing a can or tearing paper can be an example of physical change.

Physical change is what changes externally not relating to the composition of atoms and molecules. Physical change would be like a crack in a piece of granite rock. Chemical change is what atoms of molecules are changed like exchanging of electrons or ions between the atoms of the object. Or how is properties are changed or the atoms type changing like a radioactive decay turning atoms of uranium into an element with a lower atomic number would be a chemical change.

A physical reaction/change can be changed back to its original form. eg. Ice>water>steam. The stem can go back.

A chemical reaction/change cannot be changed back into its original form. eg. Bread>toast. You cant turn the toast back into bread.
