That depends entirely on the stream.

Elevation drop. If the drop is leveling off, it will start to slow down. If it gets steeper, the water will pick up speed.

Breadth. The wider the stream gets, the slower it will run. Very narrow areas will speed up. If it gets too wide, it becomes stagnant and is a swamp.

Volume. Are other sources of water joining it further down stream? Or is it a single source? If it doesn't have additional water being added to it, it will slow down as the ground around it absorbs water. It can even 'end' at some point.
