Water has a higher density than air. Anything that is less dense will float. The tube's covering is not enough to make it sink when filled with air. That is also the reason that oil and water don't mix.

How does a barge float?

It will float because water has more density than air and barges have air in them

Why does a swimming float float?

Because it has air in it. Air weighs less than water therefore air floats.

Why do you tend to float lower in the water when you exhale?

You tend to float lower in the water when you exhale because you are getting rid of air. This air is buoyant and helped you to float higher.

Does air float in water?

Yes

Why do most substances float in air if they flow in water?

I suspect that "flow" is meant to also be "float", but even with that substitution, it just changes the question from nonsensical to counterfactual. Most things that float in water do not float in air.

Float is to what as buoyant is to mobile?

Float is to water as buoyant is to air.

Does helium float or sink in water?

Helium gas is less dense than air, so it will rise and float in both air and water.

Will the density of air float of sink?

The density of air is 1,225 g/L at STP.

What vegetables float in water?

Vegetables with air pockets such as bell peppers, cucumbers, and celery may float in water due to their lower density compared to water. These vegetables contain air trapped within their cellular structure, allowing them to float.
