Hemisphere.
No. Gravity would no longer be acting on you perpendicular to the earth's surface due to the Earth being only half a sphere, assuming the other half somehow vanished. As you approached the edge you would be pulled at a greater angle back towards the center of mass making the approach to the edge seem like an ever increasing upward slope, until you got over it and it would seem to be a downward slope, where you could presumably tumble until you reached the center. Joy.
Rotation
Eris is in the Kuiper Belt (like Pluto) and is 96.6AU away. (1AU=93 Million Miles and is the average distance from the Earth to the Sun)
Assuming you refer to phases of the Moon, New Moon is when the whole disc is unlit, the first quarter is when one half of the disc is illuminated. As to whether it is the left half or the right half, depends upon which hemisphere of earth you are in. The folk in the opposite hemisphere see the Moon as if they were 'standing on their head', thus the illuminated half differs.
The Earth's circumference at the 45th parallel is approximately 16,042 miles (25,819 kilometers). This is calculated by multiplying the Earth's average circumference of about 24,901 miles (40,075 kilometers) by the cosine of 45 degrees, which is approximately 0.7071. This calculation assumes the Earth is a perfect sphere, which is a simplification as the Earth is actually an oblate spheroid.
Like the Earth, the Moon is a sphere which is always half illuminated by the Sun, but as the Moon orbits the Earth we get to see more or less of the illuminated half.
half a sphere, something like half an orange or half of a globe.
A discected sphere? Like a golf ball cut in half.
A hemisphere: half a complete sphere, like a (solid) baseball cut in half,
The sphere wasn't invented, it was natural, like the Earth is natural
A hemisphere which is half of a sphere
A model of the Earth shaped like a ball or sphere is called a globe. Globes are used to represent the Earth's surface accurately in terms of shape, size, and spatial relationships between continents and oceans.
Hemispherical mean shaped like half a sphere. A sphere is a round solid object like a ball or a planet. The clear plastic dome-like lids McDonald's puts on their milkshakes are hemispherical.
Sphere
a hemisphere looks like a sphere cut in half for example a melon cut in half
It's like a Golf ball cut in half but without the dimples.
