I dont know the exact explanation but few days back i read in the newspaper that drinking RO or UV water lowers ones body's immunity......

I don't why or how/??? Just read it..... It is not a short term issue.. but a long term... i mean if such a speculation is true then it can only happen to that person whi has been drinking that water for many years... not to the one who has started drinking that water a month back......

Does fluorescent light emit UV radiation?

Yes, fluorescent lights do emit a small amount of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, but the levels are typically low and considered safe for general use.

Is water that has been treated with UV light safe to drink?

Yes, water that has been treated with UV light is safe to drink as the UV light effectively kills harmful microorganisms present in the water.

Which are more energetic photons of UV-A radiation or photons of UV-B radiation?

Photons of UV-B radiation are more energetic than photons of UV-A radiation. UV-B radiation has shorter wavelengths and higher energy levels compared to UV-A radiation. UV-B radiation is classified as potentially harmful to human health, while UV-A radiation is less energetic and is more commonly associated with tanning and aging effects on the skin.

Is there UV in microwave ovens?

No, microwave ovens do not emit ultraviolet (UV) radiation. They use microwave radiation to heat and cook food by causing water molecules in the food to vibrate, generating heat. UV radiation is not involved in the operation of microwave ovens.

How effective is UV light for purifying drinking water?

UV light is highly effective for purifying drinking water by inactivating harmful microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. UV light can be used as a chemical-free method to make water safe for consumption.

Which are more energetic photons of UV A radiation or photons of UV B radiation?

Photons of UV B radiation are more energetic than photons of UV A radiation. UV B radiation has a shorter wavelength and higher energy compared to UV A radiation, making it more damaging to the skin and eyes.

Is water treated with ultraviolet light safe to drink?

Yes, water treated with ultraviolet (UV) light is safe to drink. UV light is an effective method for disinfecting water by inactivating bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms without using chemicals. Make sure the UV system is properly installed and maintained for optimal effectiveness.

How does the UV water filter bottle work to purify water and make it safe for drinking?

The UV water filter bottle uses ultraviolet light to kill harmful bacteria and viruses in the water, making it safe to drink. When water passes through the bottle, the UV light disrupts the DNA of microorganisms, rendering them unable to reproduce and causing them to die off. This process effectively purifies the water and removes any potential contaminants, ensuring that it is safe for consumption.

How does the ozone layer affects the land?

the ozone layer affects earth lands because it can kill many plants and animals by the UV radiation. It can make our land dry and evaporate water. it changes earth climate and weather depending on how much UV radiation we have.

Do UV rays get magnified in water?

The UV rays of the sun do not get magnified in water, but the part of you that is out of the water can get burned faster than if you were on dry land. This is because the water's surface reflects the radiation.

Which of these is not a reason to avoid UV radiation?
