Shoes leave black scuff marks primarily due to the rubber or synthetic materials used in their soles, which can transfer to surfaces like floors when pressure is applied. These marks occur regardless of the shoe's color because the scuffing material is often black or dark in hue. Additionally, the friction created when walking can break down the shoe's sole, releasing particles that adhere to surfaces. This is particularly noticeable on lighter-colored floors, where the contrast makes the marks more visible.
I don't want to scuff up my new shoes.
Electrons are found in electron clouds, which are ouside of the nucleus.
The sun formed several billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust called a nebula. The cloud was mostly composed of hydrogen along with some helium and small amounts of other elements. The nebula collapsed as a result of gravity and possibly the shock wave from a supernova. Several discrete pockets formed that heated as they collapsed and pressure increased. The heat and pressure eventually ignited nuclear fusion, which released huge amounts of energy, thus forming this sun and several other stars. The fusion in the cores of these stars continues to this day. Some of the heavier material in the nebula clustered together to form planets, comets, and other such objects.

Gently scrub the scuff marks with a soft cloth or sponge, being careful not to damage the wood. If the marks persist, you can also try using a pencil eraser or a specialized hardwood floor cleaner.
