I asked a professional window washer what he used as a cleaner. He uses the dishwashing liquid Dawn. Says it cuts right through the grime that builds up on the outside of windows.
It would have to depend on the brand. But I guess most are since it is cleaning off the germs and grime.
theres a product called goo be gone (its orange and in a spray bottle kinda like windex) I'm pretty sure it will work but check the directions first.

Its actually very simple to clean house windows. You can use a few drops of dishwashing liquid with about a gallon of water. Then you use microfibre cloths and that will remove most things off of windows. In order to leave windows streak free your best bet is a sgueegee. but remember to dry the squeegee after each wipe so that you don't leave streaks.

The "on" electrical switch has grime on it. The Off! Insect Repellent container also may have grime on it.

You can create a mixture of vinegar and salt to help remove grime from a copper penny. Simply soak the penny in the mixture for a few minutes, then gently rub it with a soft cloth or brush to help lift off the grime. Rinse with water and dry thoroughly.
