How do you represent elements?

With a capital whatever the element begins with and perhaps a second lowercase letter that is usually the second letter of the element but not always. (Ar represents Argon but As stands for Arsenic because "Ar" is already used.) Elements must also be neutrally charged.

Every element in the Periodic Table are represented by letters which are in capitals ,initially the first letter are used as in case of carbon,C,but where an alphabet has been taken,scientist move further to taking two letter from the element,as in Ca for calcium,Mg,magnesium,etc,also elements are represented by their initial name in other standard languages like most especially latin,so you find sodium represented by Na,that is Natrium(N is already taken by nitrogen),copper represented by Cu,that is cuprum(Co already goes for cobalt,and C for carbon),all in latin,i guess,other e.g include iron,Fe,tin,Sn,so where u can't find any representing letters in the element it sure comes frm it's ancient names,also pls note-arrangement of the element in the periodic table,is due to the periodic function of it's atomic no.Thank you
