curtains trap the cool air in between the hotter air
carpets trap the cool air in the fine fibres
they are blocking the sun , therefore no light gets in
Convection
Float on your stomach with arms and legs extended.
They are poor conductors
The two structures that are found in the body during heat loss are the hairs on our skin and the glands. The hairs trap more warmth that enters the skin and the glands of our body stash the sweat into the surface to reduce the warm feeling, and by this, it cools our body.
They trap hot air in the house. they do not let hot air out! keeping our houses warm, by insulation is good because it lets us cut back on using fossil fuels! Using one of these also saves money! thanks cheers ;)
For what?It requires a heat gain for the water, but a heat loss for whatever the water is in contact with.
installing carpets
Fitting carpet would help to reduce heat loss because the carpets fibres grip onto the air, so therefore the warm air cannot escape from your home. Also, the thicker your carpet is, the more warm air it will trap, so it will be a better insulator for you home if it is a thick carpet =)
using different cups to reduce heat loss
Convection , Because it traps air , the thicker the carpet , the more heat you save
by inserting double glazed windows inside will be trapped air or vacuum. laying loft insulator fitting carpets, courtens, draught excluders cavity wall insulator ect.
?
keep curtains closed have a been bag dog on the outside of the door at the bottom to minimise drafts, heat loss.
reduce heat loss
The darker the color is, the less heat radiation occurs.
They hold heat inside of the object NOOO! That's wrong ^ Insulation materials reduce heat loss because they are poor conductors. So please please don't put the first answer!
Float on your stomach with arms and legs extended.
A vacuum between two glass sheets will greatly reduce heat loss through convection, and also through conduction. The fact that the glass is coated (to convert it to a mirror) also reduces the loss by radiation.
