What are Variables in an experament?

A variable of an experiment is anything that is changed either deliberately, or as a result of changing something else. An independent variable is one that is changed to obtain a different result. A dependent variable is the thing that changes as a result of changing the independent variable. There is also the controlled variable, or just control, which does not change throughout the experiment. A test or a trial

Is breaking a stick a physical change?

YES. It surely is NOT chemical but a physical change. If you think of the stick in terms of it is a solid, then you will understand that the broken parts have not changed their physical state, only their appearance. So its physical stateis not changed, but its (mechanical, or outer properties) form is changed by force.

In a spreadsheet Can a variable be changed?

Yes, in a spreadsheet, a variable can be changed by editing the cell that contains it. This can be done manually by typing a new value or by using formulas to update the variable based on other cell values. Additionally, if the variable is part of a formula, changing any referenced cells will automatically update the result.

What factors can be changed in an experiment?

independent variables are the ones you change (how much watter to give the plant) dependent variables are the result (how tall the plant is) constant variables are ones that don't change (the type of plant)
