One would assume that is 3000MB but it is common place to assume that. But that is not entirely correct. Indeed it is true that in some cases 3GB could equal 3000MB (when talking about storage mostly). But in some (or most) cases 1GB is roughly equaled to 1,073,741,824 bytes which would be roughly 1024MB. So 3GB would be about 3,221,225,472 bytes or 3072MB.
