Silly Putty is made primarily of silicone polymers along with other ingredients such as boric acid and coloring agents. Silicones give it its unique properties, allowing it to be stretchy and moldable.
a dollar at the dollar store.
Silly Putty has pretty much been the same for years now. The only difference you may see is that there are some new companies that offer putties glowing in the dark, heart sentitive, transparent, and even magnetic.
tecnicly its not but if you think it is then its fun because it gives you something to do even if it is a waste of time.
To remove Silly Putty from clothes, you can try placing the affected area in the freezer for a few hours to harden the putty. Once frozen, you can carefully scrape off as much as possible with a dull knife. Then, apply a pre-wash stain remover or rubbing alcohol to the remaining residue and launder as usual.
You could as it is none toxic, but it wont taste very nice! It could also give you a stomach ache if you eat too much.
well if you mean play dough not play doe unless you have manufactured a young female deer for children to play with anyways to answer your question silly putty is strechy bouncy and you can mould it however with play dough it is not stretchy and not boucy but is much better for making sculpters etc.
1 If the silly putty is stuck to a tough fabric like jeans, you can try to pick some of the excess off. If it is something that is knit like a sweater, socks or more delicate fabric, do not pick at it. It could make a hole by picking or scraping at knit or delicate fabric.2 Use a cup or mug if the piece of clothing is small, such as a sock. If the piece of clothing is bigger, such as a pair of pants, use a sink that is plugged. Fill the container with enough white vinegar so that the area with putty can soak in it, not just be saturated. Let it sit in the vinegar soaking overnight.3 The next morning, the putty should have softened and be gooey. Gently pick as much as you can of the piece of clothing. Then wash the area with warm water and soap.4 If putty is still remaining, soak the area in vinegar again over night and wash with soap the next day. Repeat this until the putty is all gone.5 Wash the article of clothing with a regular load of laundry.
well they cost about $2.50 for each pack but they have 12 silly bands per pack
Silly putty is trademarked by Crayola. Some say it was invented by Earl L. Warrick who worked for Dow Corning. Crayola says it was invented by James Wright, who was an engineer working for General Electric in 1943. Peter Hodgson took some of what James Wright made to the International Toy Fair in 1950. It became a very popular toy because it bounced.
