The answer below is way too complicated. This is very simple. The estimations I could find were that the Earth's crust is between 4-7 miles thick depending on where you dig. There are 5280 feet in a mile so it would take you anywhere from 21,120-36,960 minutes which would convert to 1476-2567 days. You can try to put that into months but that would depend on what months because all months do not have the same number of days but regardless of all that the answer to your question is no.

No. The Earth's crust is composed of continental and oceanic crust. Together, the two extend about 25 miles deep. Because there are 5280 feet in a mile, 5280 feet multiplied by 25 miles will produce the number of feet needed to dig through the Earth's crust. The 5280 x 25 is equal to 132000. Keeping that in mind, we must now calculate how many minutes are in a year. This calculation can be simplified by first translating minutes to hours, then hours to days, days to weeks, and finally weeks to years. The calculation would look as follows: 60*24*7*52= 524160. We can then check the proposition in the question by multiplying this product by 6, this will produce 3144960. Now comparing the two numbers it is evident that it will take far less than six years to dig into the Earth's crust at one foot per a minute. In fact, the calculations show that it will take less than a year, maybe just a third.

IT WOULD TAKE YOU 6 MONTHS TO DIG THE EARTHS CRUST

Earth's outermost layer is the?

Earths outermost layer is the crust.Actually, the crust is divided into two parts,Sial and Sima.In that way, actually Sial is the outermost layer of the crust,as it lies above the Sima.

What is direct evidence in science?

Physical samples of rock extracted (taken) from deep within Earths crust.

Which rock group makes up least of earths crust?

Just to say: This question refers to rock groups. Not what type of rock.Igneous rocks make up most of the earth's crust.

When you take a hot apple pie out of the oven the crust and top eventually cools. What might have cooled the earths surface?

Well what cools it is the atmosphere and the air that we breathe from. The earth's crust is very rocky and it also could be smooth, so when it rains or snows of course the earths land is cold. It is also just like how the matter rises from the center and goes to the top then the matter packs in and then it drops then rises again then comes back up. These are called convection currents.

Why do you think geologists use drill bits covered with small diamonds to drill into the earths crust?

Well, diamonds are hard minerals, and if they are used in a drill, it could help with the power given and make the course, and power of the drill increase. Diamonds are minerals and they are found in South Africa. You dig them up and they are contained in a rock called "kimberlite" after that you give the shape, size and polish the diamond. They may use them for other things, not only jewelry. They are also used in: Telecommunication, rock drill bit, mine shack..... This information is true, i will post more soon! ;)
