No, a change of state is not a chemical change, for it can be changed back to its original form and their is no change in the molecular composition of the substance. A chemical change is when it cannot be changed back. The above example is an example of a physical change. Example:- ice when heated changes into water and water when cooled changes into ice.

For example, water is still- chemically- H2O whether it is in a solid state (ice), liquid, or gas (water vapor).

∙ 10y agoIt's a physical change, because being that the change occurs without any proper chemically activated source state change is natural.

∙ 6y agoA change in state- as in change from a solid to a liquid, is physical.

∙ 5y agoChange of state is a physical property because the chemical composition of the substance does not change.
its a physical change it may look different but it is still in the same state as a solid piece of gold
Physical, Since only the property of the chocolate didn't change, after it melted, it still is chocolate
It would be both. It's a physical change because it is changing state and a chemical change because water is being evaporated.
Changing between one of the states of matter. More commonly a solid to a liquid (ice melting) or a liquid to a gas (water evaporating).
Yes; sublimation is the conversion of a substance from solid directly to gas. Since no chemical change occurs, simply a different state of matter, this is a physical property.
It is a change in physical state, which is a physical change.
A physical state is physical and not chemical Physical Property is observed without changing a substance into another substance. Chemical property is the ability of a substance to change into different substance.
Change of state is a property that involves the substances of chemical and physical changes
It is a physical property, so is boiling point.
state
No.It is a physical property of a substance.
Physical properties of an element are those in which there is no change in its state. For example, the color and density of an element are physical properties. If an element is flammable, it goes through a reaction and burns, and there is a change in state. When there is a reaction that results in a change of state, Flammability is a chemical property.
No. It is a physical property.

physical property
Chemical properties describe how a substance will undergo chemical reactions and with what. Chemical changes are when one or more substances change to some other substance or substances.
A state of matter is a physical property.
