I am doing a word list recall test for my science fair project. How many words should I have and why?

30 words. In my intro to psych class at Wayne state unversity we recently did this experiment. Be sure to mention the primacy and recency effect (being able to remember the frist and last words better than the middle words).

What does summary mean in a science fair project?

Sum up your entire project, (hypothesis, conclusion, and data) into a short and neat paragraph. Basically overviewing your entire project, allowing people to get the jist of your project without having to read the entire thing.

What is a conclusion in a science experiment?

A Conclusion is the opinion formed after reviewing the evidence of your experiment. Conclusion also means the results of your hypothesis. ex: My hypothesis is most people drive a mini van than a jeep. My conclusion is most people drive a jeep than a mini van. so it's kind of the answer to your hypothesis but not all the way through though.

How Do You Write an Assertion Statement?

To write an assertion you introduce the quote or example, document the quote or example, then add commentary. If it is a quote from a book, then it will look like this. Intro to quote. "Quote" then (page # in parenthesis) then a period. Commentary (why you picked the quote, about the quote, etc). Hope this helped! =)

Why is it important to have a valid conclusion?

the point of a conclusion is to sum up all your supporting evidences and present it one final time to convey your thesis. without a valid conclusion it may be unclear what the thesis of a piece of writing is, and since the thesis is the thing you are trying to prove, your essay will seems pointless (even if you clearly explain it in the intro).
