Yes, it is a seed from a plant, which is living thing.
while conected to the plant yes.
i know this because of reaserch and my reaserch says if its not alive then how does it grow and we all know that living things grow.
Corn is from a seed which is living, therefore corn is a living organism. Even after they have harvested the embryos of the kernel on the ear of corn are still able to grow.
A corn field is not itself a living thing, it is a place where living things, i.e. corn plants, are located. No matter how many things live in the soil, soil is not alive.

Non-living
All are made from matter.
an ear of corn IS living
It can't because it is NOT a living organism.
It is a living thing because the embryos of those kernels on that ear of corn, even though they have reached senescence when harvested, are still able to grow (or germinate) when planted in the soil to make new corn plants.
